Sad that he lost his wife, only to find love yet not feel that he could do anything about it.
I realize this movie was fictional (do not know if it is based on truth or not) but it makes sense. Well as much sense as serial murder can make. And didn't the end for Sir William somewhat balance out his actions.

I agree
I watched From Hell on Saturday night
I hadn't watched it for a few years, so I couldn't remember exactly what happens. But I loved it. I thought that Johnny was really good, I feel that he put a lot of emotion into the character, which I loved. The only problem was that I found myself giggling at Johnny's accent

I love this movie.
I'm probably just going to have a From Hell week this week seeing as though I have watched it 2 nights on the go and plan to watch it again tonight.
I get really upset at the fact that when he finds love again he is scared that going to her will give her away.

I am and always was thrilled by the myth of the Ripper. I'm into such things.
I find it amazing that no matter how often I've already seen that movie, it still makes me shiver.

I find it amazing that no one ever figured out who he really was (except for the ones involved of course)...my friends boyfriend is a Free Mason...told her that she needs to marry him so she can be one too and find out who the Ripper was!! lol
But Johnny was amazing in this...and like it has been said...the plot/identity of the Ripper and the circumstances surronding it I think are completely plausible...we wont even go into the sexiness that was Johnny's accent...and those sideburns lol

oh yeah rool: not to mention the scene he's taking a bath.
Yes, you're right. I find that amazing too. I'm not even sure they would have recognized him nowadays. He seemed invisible or something, y'know.

Yeah...its almost as if he was like a ghost or something y'know? meaning that no one ever witnessed anything, never saw him, heard him...he was just here and then gone---ephermal they call that...I agree...with waht you said Birgit... Pretty much invisible

Totally. I find that somehow scary. I think that's the main thing which is thrilling me about the whole story. He really could have been anyone. Good to know, he's prolly dead by now.
