I'm looking for a copy of this to rent or buy. can't find one to rent. the only ones I can find to buy seem to be bootlegged copies for astronomical amounts of $$. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, I like this movie. I think it's funny, sad, mysterious and all together with a lovely young Johnny. The scene with the pantyhose made me cry with laughter!

Just saw this one tonight for the first time and I liked it
It's pretty strange in some kind.....made me think of Gilliam movies (strong pictures and colours) and I enjoyed the little things of young Johnny that still appear in actual days. Like the chicken performance and the beautiful song of Chocolat. The music was really strong in this film too, loved it.
And my favorite quote is: "Think anybody fucking touches Johnny Depp's face?" :lmao:

There is an interview on the DVD with Johnny. The interviewer speaks completely in french and Johnny in english. She told him that she had heard Faye Dunaway was jealous of Lili Taylor! LOL!!! I do love this film. It contained comedy, drama and action. I absolutely love the scene in the hallway when Johnny's character was chasing the daughter bawking like a chicken!!! LMAO!!!

LOL, I haven't seen this movie for a long time now. When I'm thinking of it, I have the scene before my eyes where they're having dinner and that turtle is always crawling over to Johnny, and he keeps turning it the other way, but it always would come back. :lmao:
